Module 3.1

We will spend Module 3.1 focusing on evaluating remedy reactions – what was the patient’s response to the prescription, and how do we interpret the results to understand what to do next? There will be emphasis on gaining a deeper understanding of susceptibility and its relation to disease and protection, as well as further discussion to resolve any confusion over the concepts of a homeopathic aggravation and counteraction, vs. disease aggravation. From a practical standpoint, we will review the keys to taking a successful progress report, how to hone your materia medica study skills, and we will discuss approaches to the various types of chronic disease cases you will see. We will have further practice case work to elucidate utilizing keynotes and concomitants, with a focus on repertory and rubric selection.

The goal of Module 3.1 is to develop a solid theoretical foundation of the nature of prescription response evaluation, as this is paramount to build our ability to manage case progression. In order to have clinical success, your thought process as a homeopath must be derived from understanding the theory accurately. As in the past two Modules, we advise in Module 3.1 to focus on solidifying your theory principles correctly, and then we will delve more deeply into further the clinical aspects of chronic case work and prescription evaluation in Module 3.2.
